ICONTEC is a non profit organization established since 1963 in Colombia, dedicated to technical standardization, conformity assessment and training. As a Standardization Body, ICONTEC is a member of the International Organization for Standardization, ISO, and the International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC, and has developed more than 6.000 technical standards. As a certification body, is a member of IQNet, the largest network of Certification Bodies recognized in the world, allowing it to offer certification services worldwide.
ICONTEC is accredited by the American National Standards Institute in the USA (a member of the International Accreditation Forum, IAF) to certify FLORVERDE standards, equivalent to GLOBALGAP. Currently,
ICONTEC is the leading certification body in Colombia, and has subsidiaries in Central America, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
